My career so far in New Star Soccer on the ipad...

I've never really been a follower of fashion or anything up to date. By the time I get round to buying or playing the latest thing its usually past its best and folks have moved on. So when I decided to try out New Star Soccer on the ipad I kind of thought that maybe all the fuss about this game was wrong. However, after playing this little title I now stand corrected.

The game is genius. Really addictive and also that little something called fun. Yes, fun. I haven't enjoyed a footy game like this since Sensible World of Soccer. Seriously... I even managed to persuade a friend to try the title out and now he's addicted. I can understand why this won sports game of the year at the gaming BAFTA's. After playing the demo I coppered up the 69p to upgrade and decided to embark on a proper career within the game.

Below is how I did in this awesome little title.

SEASON 1: Conference North - Blythe Spartans

After a poor start we managed to pick up some momentum and slowly but surely we made our way up the table. Eventually we hit 6th place but as there are no play off's only 2 teams go up in this division so it was important to pick up some big wins. My player then answered the call for the team with hat trick after hat trick to leave Blyth Spartans in second place below Workington.   Workington then started to slip up which allowed the mighty Blythe squad to hit top spot. 

However, with 6 games left we faced 4 matches against teams immediately below us. We managed to lose the first one but we managed to stay in top spot. We then drew 2 more which dropped us to second and then finally we won a game. So with only 2 games left we needed 2 points to stay in the promotion spot.Luckily we managed to grab 2 draws which sent the mighty Blyth Spartans up into the Conference after finishing second to Workington. 

Blyth also managed to get into the third round of the FA Cup but lost 1-0 to Blackburn. A pretty god season all round really.

Anyway, with plenty of offers for my player what would he choose to do for season 2?
